Restoration of degraded watersheds of key water towers in Kenya in Mau and Mount Elgon Forest Ecosystems.

The Green Belt Movement has planted 4,117,684 in partnership with Ecosia within the two major water towers of Mau complex and Mt. Elgon. Green Belt Movement has restored about 222 Ha of degraded forests in Sossio and Saboti forests respectively, where we planted 555,019 trees across various degraded sites. In Saboti Forests 54,734 trees were planted and in Sossio Forest 500,285 trees were planted.
