The Green Belt Movement has organized a  Marathon dubbed  sports, peace, Environment and cohesion(SPECO)marathon  which  will be held on 13^th of December 2013, in Rongai Sub county , Nakuru. During this day 50 trees will be planted after the event at the Wangari Maathai garden which is space being given to GBM for this purpose by the Provincial administration in the Rift Valley. The 50 trees will signify commemoration of 50 years of independence.
